Buffalo- The Bisons and Red Sox combined for 8 runs in the 10th inning. Buffalo walked it off with a Luis De Los Santos grand slam. Matt Peacock started the game with 2 scoreless innings. Jimmy Burnette pitched a scoreless 3rd inning. Yosver Zulueta pitched a scoreless 4th but ran into trouble in the 5th. Junior Fernandez entered the game in the 5th with 2 outs and 2 on, allowing both inherited runs to score plus 2 of his own runs. Brandon Eisert pitched a scoreless 7th and 8th. Jay Jackson allowed 3 runs in the 10th but was credited with the win. Buffalo hit two doubles and three home runs. Cam Eden stole his 32nd base of the season.

New Hampshire- GM1 Portland scored 3 runs in the 4th inning off Jimmy Robbins who struck out 5 and walked 4. Gabriel Ponce allowed a run in the 6th inning. TJ Brock was touched up in the 7th inning, allowing two runs to score. Rainer Nunez hit his 2nd deep fly in the 4th inning, a solo shot. Steward Berroa also made some noise in the 4th with an RBI double, accounting for all of New Hampshire’s runs. GM2 New Hampshire scored single runs in the 1st, 5th, and 8th innings, hitting a double and a home run. The Fisher Cats were held to three hits but worked 7 free passes. Adam Kloffenstein turned in another strong start, allowing one run over 5 innings with 4 walks and 6K. Mason Fluharty pitched 1.1 scoreless inning, stranding one inherited run. Troy Watson allowed two runs in 0.2IP. Adrian Hernandez allowed 4 runs on 1 hit, two walks, and two strikeouts. Steward Berroa stole his 28th base.

Vancouver- Spokane and Vancouver were locked 1-1 until the 10th inning. Both clubs scored a run in the 10th. Spokane scored off Braden Scott in the 11th but Michael Turconi and Cade Doughty came through with RBI singles for the win. Rafael Sanchez struck out 6 batters, allowing one run on 4 hits over 5 innings. Conor Larkin (2.0IP) and Ian Churchill (1.0IP) held the Indians to a hit between the 6th and 8th. Matt Svanson provided the C’s with two innings, allowing a run to score in the 10th while striking out 4 batters.

Dunedin- The Mets held the D-Jays to 3 runs on 5 hits, finishing with 7BB, a triple, and 4SB but also was caught stealing twice and striking out 10 times. Pat Gallagher allowed home runs in the 1st (solo), 3rd (solo), and 6th (2-run), finishing with 7 strikeouts, one walk, and 4 runs scored on 7 hits over 5.2 innings. Lazaro Estrada pitched a perfect 7th and 8th innings with 3K.

Player Spotlight

Today we turn our attention to Addison Barger.

Playing in his 6th game with Buffalo since returning from an injury that cost him over a month, the 23-year-old went 2-for-4 with two runs scored, two runs batted in, and a walk. Barger batted 5th as the Herd’s DH. He went deep for the first time since his 2nd game of the season on April 1st with a solo home run in the 2nd inning. It was also his first extra-base hit since returning to game action, including his time in Florida. Addison walked in the 3rd. His line drive single in the 10th chased home Davis Schneider to cut the lead to 8 to 6. He would score on Luis De Los Santos’ grand slam three batters later.


For the season, at Triple-A, Addison Barger owns a .227/.330/.330 slash with 4 doubles and 2HR. Since returning, he is batting .190 with 3Bb and 8K.
